The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has opened registration for expert reviewers for the First Order Draft of the Working Group I contribution to the Seventh Assessment Report, The Physical Science Basis.
The expert review is a key part of the IPCC assessment process. It provides an opportunity for independent experts to review the draft report and contribute to strengthening the quality, balance and comprehensiveness of the assessment. Through this process, the IPCC seeks broad participation from experts with diverse knowledge, disciplinary backgrounds and geographical representation.
The Working Group I contribution focuses on the physical science basis of climate change and will form part of the IPCC’s Seventh Assessment Report cycle. Experts with relevant scientific, technical and policy expertise are encouraged to register and participate in the review.
The review period will run from 10 August to 2 October 2026, while registration will close on 25 September 2026.
