Technical Working Session on Climate Modelling for Mombasa and Tema Ports

On 8–9 October 2026, the African Group of Negotiators Experts Support (AGNES) will convene the Africa Seaports Resilience Technical Working Group in Nairobi, Kenya, as part of the Strengthening Climate Resilience and Safety of African Seaports: Understanding Climate Risks and Impacts project. The technical working session will bring together experts in port and maritime systems, climate and ocean science, climate modelling, data analysis and risk assessment to establish the technical foundation for climate risk assessments for the Ports of Mombasa(Kenya), and Tema(Ghana).
