WAKANYI DENIS KARIUKI
I am a passionate advocate for climate action and social justice, deeply engaged in community-based initiatives. With a strong focus on youth involvement, I play a significant role in projects like the “Muranga County Climate Action and Mitigation of Forests” under the Young Theologians Initiative for Climate Action. This project, supported by the Africa Climate Change Fund (ACCF), emphasizes gender equality and resilience in the face of climate challenges. My work addresses environmental conservation while promoting equitable access to resources, particularly for vulnerable and low-income communities.
As an active member of YOUNGO, the official youth constituency at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), I help amplify the voices of young people in global climate negotiations. In my professional role, I manage data entry tasks, ensuring document accuracy and supporting activities that enhance organizational efficiency. Additionally, I am currently exploring the business landscape of the UAE, expanding my knowledge and understanding of international markets.
Driven by a commitment to community development, climate resilience, and youth empowerment, I strive to make impactful contributions while seeking opportunities to grow and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. My work is rooted in a vision for a sustainable, just, and inclusive future.
