Telvin Muta Denje
Research Fellow – Climate Science-Policy-Practice
Telvin is an environmental scientist, GIS & RS practitioner, climate policy specialist with experience working in the climate science-policy-practice nexus, as a researcher in the environment, natural resource management, climate science, climate change and climate finance space, where he leverages science and evidence to inform policy and practice towards Africa’s climate resilience.
As a researcher in this space he has been involved in the development and publishing of policy briefs, technical papers, handbooks among other knowledge products to inform decisions making in different policy process.
He closely work with the IPCC focal points across Africa backstopping the IPCC process to ensure African authorship in the Assessment Reports is significant.
He has over five years of experience in research, data analysis, project design, management and implementation working across Eastern and Southern parts of Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Egerton University and is pursuing a Masters in GIS and Remote Sensing at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
