Stephen Tewu Akem
Stephen Tewu Akem is a dedicated climate policy advocate committed to fostering positive environmental change and advancing climate action. He holds a BSc in Sociology and Anthropology and an MSc in Sustainable Resource Management from the Technical University of Munich, Germany. With a passion for climate policy, Stephen has contributed to numerous international climate resilience initiatives with esteemed organizations such as UN-Habitat Urban Resilience Hub, UNFCCC’s Adaptation Division, and atmosfair gmbh. Currently serving as a policy adviser for African Women for Empowerment e.V, Stephen continues to champion climate policy efforts, particularly focusing on empowering marginalized communities. Furthermore, his role as a climate policy expert member on the roster of the UNFCCC’s Supervisory Body for the article 6.4 mechanism of the Paris Agreement underscores his dedication to shaping global climate policies.
