SHARON SIAMANTA
Miss Siamanta has a BSc. in Nursing from Kenyatta University (Kenya). She is in the Youth Advisory Panel, United Nations Population Fund, Kenya representing Samburu County and a youth member of Lmartin People Association. She is a nurse volunteer at the Samburu County Referral Hospital focusing on maternal health and family planning. She coordinates community environmental conservation to enhance climate change mitigation and community resilience. She creates awareness on alternative livelihoods to the pastoralist community to better cope with climate change with special emphasis with women and youth including beekeeping, kitchen gardening and other community responsive needs .She taps in her passion and experience in supporting community health such as antenatal health, family planning as well as addressing the cessation of retrogressive harmful cultural practices like female genital mutilation ,gender based violence and early pregnancy in her community.
