Samuel Agyei Agyemang
Samuel Agyei Agyemang has over seven years experience in research on tropical diseases, HIV/ AIDS, communicable and non-communicable diseases in resource-constraint settings. He holds a BSc. (Economics) from Catholic University of Ghana and a Master of Public Health (specialising in Health Systems and Disease Control) from the Institute of Tropical Medicine, Antwerp, Belgium. He is a Belgium Directorate-General for Development (DGD) Scholar 2022 and Emerging Voices for Global Health (EV4GH) Fellow 2024.
He worked previously as a Senior Research Officer at the University of Ghana, School of Public Health. He has also interned with the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Environment, Climate Change and Health (ECH) Unit in Geneva-Switzerland where he led the systematic review work on previous investment cases on environment, climate change and health. He is currently a remote volunteered Reader with Tuft University’s Center for Evaluation of Value and Risk in Health (CEVR).
His areas of expertise include Health Economics; Health Financing; Health Policy and Systems Research; Cost and Cost Effectiveness Analysis; Economic Evaluation; Statistical Modelling and Analysis; and Systematic Reviews. He also has immense experience in action research and monitoring and evaluation of healthcare interventions.
