Samba Faye is the CEO and founder of Plantation Nurseries, a Green Climate Social Enterprise in The Gambia focused on sustainable agriculture and climate resilience. He holds a BSc. in Business Administration from Swiss Management University in Switzerland, combining his strong business acumen with a passion for environmental sustainability. Under his leadership, Plantation Nurseries specializes in producing climate-resilient and drought-resistant seedlings for reforestation, land restoration, and food security initiatives. 

Samba’s organization has led significant projects, such as the Green Schools Tree Planting Initiative, which partners with organizations like UNICEF and the Ministry of Environment to plant trees in schools across the country. He also organized the 1st National Children and Youth Conference on Climate Change, empowering young voices in climate action. 

Recognized for his work, Samba was awarded the Green Award at the Heroes Awards 2024.
