Phillemon Machana
Phillemon Machana is a grounded entrepreneur with particular emphasis on social enterprise which uplifts communities and the environment while providing a return to the business. Machana holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Midlands State University in Zimbabwe, a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of South Africa (UNISA) and is also a qualified and experienced chartered secretary and accountant who holds a Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators in Zimbabwe (CIS), full City and Guilds Quality Assurance Certificate and National Diploma in Process (Sugar Cane) Technology.
An expert in Finance, having started off as a contractor in community resilience and climate mitigation projects under various entities in the climate space including government departments, NGOs and UN agencies, Machana owns and is CEO of a -for-profit private limited company, Conduit Investments which operates different SBUs such as the Project Development SBU, ConduitGreen , a participant in NBS projects and also operates and maintain two Wildlife Conservancies through its ConduitGreen Wildlife Safaris SBU. Machana leads a team of highly innovative but community needs sensitive team where sustainable business actions are taken while communities and the environment are positively impacted through adaptive resilience and climate mitigation outcomes. An advocate of responsible business and preservation of the environment, Machana is a Climate Reality Leader.
