OKODI GAD is a Forester in making with hands – on experience in forestry activities like Tree nursery operations, Plantations, Agroforestry, majoring in Natural Forest and Biodiversity conservation. He is currently pursuing a B.Sc. in Forestry at Makerere University (in his third year), Uganda. Has engaged in various trainings in different organizations, he has just completed a climate leadership training at AGNES Organization (Kenya), Climate Smart Agriculture and Gender inclusion at Agribusiness Development Uganda, where he has learnt aspects like climate leadership, Advocacy, Diplomacy, Negotiations, Adaptations and Mitigations and he is planning to extend his knowledge to hundreds of people on Climate Change, environmental sustainability and the SDGs. Okodi Gad is class representative to FAMU (Forestry Association Makerere University) a body that brings together all forestry students at Makerere University where he currently studies. A Climate scientist trained by both Makerere University and AGNES organization. He is a down-to- earth and highly motivated person, can accomplish tasks under minimal or no supervisions, passionate about nature conservation (a more sustainable world) for inter and intra-generational equity. He is a fast learner, highly resilient and adaptable and more willing to learn new things daily and I believe I can be one of the assets rather than a liability to Uganda, Africa and the world at large.
