Mphatso Ben
Mphatso Ben is an accomplished climate and security professional with extensive experience in climate diplomacy, community engagement, and conflict resolution. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the University of Malawi and has undergone specialized training in Climate Security and Diplomacy from Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in collaboration with Adelphi and the Climate Diplomacy Academy in Kenya.
Currently serving as an Academic Committee Executive member at OpenStreet Malawi, Mphatso has a proven track record of leadership in environmental sustainability and resilience. As a former president of the UNIMA Geo-Society, he spearheaded initiatives on waste management and climate change mitigation. He has also participated in the YouthMappers Leadership Summit in Jamaica, where he deepened his expertise in leveraging geospatial data for climate resilience. Mphatso is a passionate advocate for climate action and sustainable development, committed to driving impactful solutions for a sustainable future.
