Monday Ogheneruona ITOGHOR is an Environmentalist by Profession, Certified Environmental Auditor, Geographic Information System Expert with passion on Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Measures and a seasoned Administrator. He is a graduate of Geography from the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State; A Master holder of Public Administration (MPA) from the Delta State University, Abraka; M. Sc in Geoinformatics and Ph.D. (In-View), in Geoinformatics from the Federal University of Petroleum Resources (FUPRE), Effurun – Warri, Delta State, Nigeria. He also has The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) Fellowship Award where he studied at the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI), Norrkoping, Sweden where he obtained Advance Certificate in Climate Change – Mitigation and Adaptation Measures; The Netherlands Government Fellowship Award (NUFFIC), where he obtained a Certificate in Management Course for Development Practitioners (Project and Programme Management and Administration (PPMA) at the MDF Training and Consultancy, Ede, The Netherlands. Others include Certificate in Climate Democracy Action Program from the People Powered Global Hub for Participatory Democracy (CDA); and Climate Governance, Diplomacy and Negotiations Leadership Program from the African Group Negotiators Experts Support (AGNES). He is a member of the Nigerian Environmental Society (NES), Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and American Society of Public Administration (ASPA) and the Nigerian Association of Evaluators (NAE).
Presently, he is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Environmental and Rural Mediation Centre (ENVIRUMEDIC). He has once served in Reslarc Nigeria Ltd as Consultant Trainee, Kaduna; ECLONS Nigeria Ltd as Project Manager, Warri; Assistant Director (Technical), Office of the Executive Director, and Deputy Director, Social Services Department, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) before joining ENVIRUMEDIC as the CEO. He brought innovations and improved partnership with donor. He has managed donor funded projects and Program with good technical and financial management skills. Such projects include the Local Rights Programme working on Agriculture and Food Security and Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Measures supported by ActionAid Nigeria; Global Action Towards HIV Epidemic Control in Subnational Units in Nigeria – Supported by Catholic Caritas Foundation of Nigeria (4GATES); USAID Effective Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Services (E-WASH Program) – Supported by USAID/RTI; USAID State2State Project – Supported by USAID/DAI Inc; Humanitarian Responses to Flood Survivors/Victims, WASH Services ,CONVID-19 Pandemic Palliative Supports and Disaster Risk Reduction Education – Supported by START Network Fund/ActionAid Nigeria.
