Mohamed Sylla
Mohamed Sylla is a passionate advocate for climate action and a dedicated public health professional with extensive experience in climate diplomacy, sustainable development, and international cooperation. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Ecole de Santé Source de Vie, along with certifications in Climate Policy and Governance. Currently, Mohamed works as a researcher at the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), focusing on climate change-induced loss and damage, and leading research projects aimed at advancing environmental sustainability and climate justice. His contributions include organizing and moderating global platforms such as the Global Leadership Summit and COP15, where he has effectively represented youth perspectives on urgent climate issues.
In his role as a Consultant at Enterprise Forward, Mohamed spearheads the ClimatEducate project, where he has educated hundreds of students on climate change, environmental sustainability, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As a certified Climate Reality Leader, he actively advocates for Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), working to bridge grassroots initiatives with international policies. Mohamed’s work has positioned him as a key voice in climate resilience and social justice.
Additionally, Mohamed completed the Climate Governance, Diplomacy, and Negotiations Leadership Program in September 2024, through which he honed skills in leadership, climate change advocacy, and digital diplomacy. The program, conducted by the African Group of Negotiators Experts Support (AGNES), further strengthened his ability to engage in policy dialogues, manage stakeholder relationships, and advocate for sustainable development solutions.
