Michelle Nambiro
Michelle Nambiro is a seasoned Communication Specialist with nearly 12 years of experience, blending creativity and strategy to deliver impactful communication solutions. Over the past four years, her focus has shifted towards climate communication, driven by a passion for public policy, advocacy and storytelling that inspires meaningful climate action. Currently, she leads as the Communication and Media Manager at the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (K.A.S) Regional Programme for Energy Security and Climate Change in Sub-Saharan Africa, where she spearheads efforts to amplify climate issues across diverse platforms.
Previously, Michelle served as a Communication Officer at the EU Africa RISE programme, where she played a key role in raising the visibility of technical assistance across 25 African countries. Her work helped shape narratives that promote sustainable growth, improved investment climates, and job creation across Eastern and Southern Africa, as well as the Indian Ocean region.
Her communication journey began at Hill+Knowlton Strategies (WPP-Scangroup), where she mastered the art of multi-media storytelling, media engagement, crisis communication, event management, and stakeholder engagement. With a Bachelors degree in Education (French with I.T.) from Maseno University and an MBA from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Michelle combines her academic background with real-world experience to drive transformative communication, especially in the climate sector.
