Lynn Chepcheng is a passionate and results-driven Geospatial Engineer with extensive research experience in land use management, solid waste management, and the intersection of gender and climate change. She is committed to harnessing geospatial technologies to tackle pressing climate change challenges and promote equitable, sustainable solutions.
With expertise in GIS, remote sensing, and GIS programming, Lynn specializes in mapping climate vulnerabilities, suitability mapping and uncovering social disparities in adaptation strategies. Her work bridges the critical nexus of geospatial science, climate resilience and social equity, advancing innovative approaches to support vulnerable communities.
As an early-career scientist, Lynn currently serves as a Research Officer in GIS, Gender, and Climate Change with the African Group of Negotiators Expert Support (AGNES). In this role, she contributes to evidence-based climate policy support in the science-policy-practice nexus and capacity building across Africa, driving transformative actions toward a just and climate-resilient future.
