My name is Lamine Sidibé. A young negotiator from the African Group of Negotiators on Agriculture and Food Security. I am also a climate activist and agricultural entrepreneur, serving as the president of the company “ARSAC-Guinea.” In addition to that, I am an active member of Youngo and part of the organizing team of LCOY Guinea.
I was born on June 28, 1998, in Kankan, in the Republic of Guinea, and I hold Guinean nationality.
In March 2023, I was invited by the African Group of Negotiators (AGN) to participate in a capacity-building workshop in Livingston, Zambia, focused on ongoing and upcoming climate negotiations. Following this, I took part in the climate negotiations of the 58th session of the Subsidiary Bodies of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, held in Bonn, Germany and also 28th Conference of the Parties COP28 in Dubaï from 30 November to 13 December 2023 I participated as a young negotiator on agriculture and food security. I have also attended several online workshops on climate education, adaptation, and negotiations,
As a climate activist and entrepreneur, we organized awareness campaigns throughout the year 2023 in schools, universities, markets, and coastal cities in Guinea, emphasizing measures for climate change adaptation. With my team, we plan to continue this climate advocacy among the most vulnerable populations in the country and serve as a model for agricultural entrepreneurship in Guinea.
