Jerome Dozie Okoye
Jerome Dozie Okoye is a dynamic and resourceful Climate Change Professional with extensive hands-on experience in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering, an MBA in Finance and Investment, a Certificate in Public Leadership and Policy, and a Master’s in International Affairs and Diplomacy. Jerome’s diverse academic background equips him with a robust understanding of both the technical and policy aspects of climate change and environmental sustainability.
He is passionate about academia and facilitating research into various topics with an organized and precision-minded approach. His research focuses on water demand as it relates to climate change, and he has collaborated with research institutes on climate-related matters. Jerome also serves as an Engineering Executive at BSP Real Estate Limited, where he leads projects on urban mass housing that focus on environmental sustainability. Additionally, he is an investment entrepreneur with diverse ventures and businesses, demonstrating his ability to merge environmental concerns with business strategies. His role on a joint team for policy formulation in public leadership and governance further showcases his commitment to influencing policy for sustainable development.
Jerome is also a Climate Leader trained by the African Group of Negotiators Expert Support (AGNES). He is a strong advocate for environmental sustainability, natural resources management, climate justice, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He is highly interested in research opportunities and collaborations that push the limits of his capabilities, and he regularly volunteers for several NGOs where he takes on roles as a project manager and facilitator, bridging knowledge gaps in climate change adaptation and environmental sustainability.
