Hanan Ahmed
Hanan Ahmed is an Environmental Science graduate with a keen interest in climate change adaptation, livelihoods, and food security, particularly in Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASAL) regions. She has completed a Climate Governance, Diplomacy, and Negotiations Leadership Program, where she gained knowledge in areas such as climate finance and international environmental negotiations. Hanan has a background in research, community engagement, and environmental resource management, skills honed through her academic coursework and participation in seminars. She is currently a volunteer at the Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS), where she supports community-based initiatives. Fluent in both English and Somali, she aims to contribute to sustainable solutions for vulnerable communities. Hanan is focused on enhancing resilience in ASAL areas, with a special focus on water and sanitation, disaster management, and livelihoods support.
