Climate Fellow - Marine, Ocean and Blue Economy
Fred is a dedicated advocate for marine environmental protection and ocean governance, with expertise in Ocean Policy and Law. He has actively contributed to ocean climate action and research at AGNES and the University of Nairobi, driven by a deep commitment to protecting and conserving the ocean and seas.
Fred serves as a Graduate Research Assistant with the University of Nairobi’s Faculty of Law under the Environmental Maritime Governance (EMG-K) project, where he actively contributes to research and policy development. He previously volunteered in marine conservation and governance at the Watamu Marine Protected Area, showcasing his dedication to sustainable ocean management and protection.
Fred holds a BSc in Fisheries and Aquaculture Management and a Master of Arts in Environmental Policy, both from the University of Nairobi. As part of his academic journey, he also participated in the Erasmus+ program as an exchange student at the University of Gothenburg, where he pursued International Law in the Maritime Context.
