Dr. Christopher Munyaradzi Mabeza
Dr. Christopher Munyaradzi Mabeza is a Climate Change and Disaster Management Specialist and is also the Coordinator of the Master of Science Degree in Development Studies Programme at the Women’s University in Africa. Chris holds a Ph.D. in Social Anthropology (Adaptation to Climate Change) from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. He also holds an M.Sc. in Social Ecology and Bachelor of Arts degrees. Dr. Mabeza is the author of Water and Soil in Holy Matrimony? A Smallholder Farmer’s Innovative Agricultural Practices for Adapting to Climate in Rural Zimbabwe. He is a co-awardee of the 2017 Rhodes University Vice-Chancellor’s Distinguished Award for Community Development. He has also done extensive research work on responses to the impacts climate change in Zimbabwe and South Africa. Chris is a member of the SA Adaptation Network.
