Cynthia Nafula Wakhungu
Cynthia Nafula Wakhungu is a dedicated science professional with hands-on experience in research, teaching, and project coordination. She holds a B.Sc. in Botany and Zoology and an M.Sc. in Plant Pathology from Egerton University, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Microbiology at the University of Nairobi. Throughout her career, Cynthia has contributed to various impactful initiatives, including her role as a tutorial fellow at The Technical University of Kenya, where she supervises student projects and engages in research collaborations.
Cynthia is an ardent advocate for scientific innovation, sustainable agriculture, and environmental conservation. She has actively contributed to community-related climate change initiatives and nature-based solutions advocacy. She has participated in key international conferences such as the Global Development Network Conference in Ecuador, and the ICARDA Conference in Morocco. Cynthia’s passion for education, sustainability, and development drives her continued impact both in academia and in the broader scientific community.
