Charles Ndiritu Waititu
Is an intern at the Permanent Mission of Kenya to UNON $ UNEP under the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs. An institute environmental diplomat, I am engaged in multilateral environmental engagements representing Kenya in global forums, conferences, negotiations and seminars relating to environmental conservation. My main responsibility is championing Kenya’s environmental interests in these multilateral processes as well as projecting Nairobi as the most prestigious Environmental capital. He is a member of Children and Youth Major Group to UNEP advancing policy development on youth engagement in environmental diplomacy.
Charles has previously worked in community development and program management on donor funded projects especially on adaptation and climate resilience working with Kenya’s grassroot organizations in the Arid and Semi-Arid Lands of Kenya. He is a CEO of Truecare Farm, a Social enterprise that trains farmers on climate smart agricultural practices in rural communities championing food security and environmental conservation.
