Charity Osei-Amponsah
Charity Osei-Amponsah is a social scientist with 15 years of research experience in climate resilience governance, institutions and inclusion in water and agrifood systems. She has a PhD in Rural Development Sociology from Wageningen University in the Netherlands. A passionate transdisciplinary researcher, she is currently the Deputy Country Representative and Senior Regional Researcher for with the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), Ghana Office.
Charity is the lead for the European Union-funded Resilience against Climate Change-Social Transformation Research and Policy Advocacy project. She previously served as the Interim Leader for the Governance, Gender and Social Inclusion Research Group under the Water, Growth and Inclusion Strategic Program. Prior to joining IWMI she worked at the Science and Technology Policy Research Institute of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR-STEPRI) as a senior research scientist.
