BISHIKWABO CIKURU Isaac
Mr. BISHIKWABO CIKURU Isaac is a Geographic Information System Professional with hands-on experience in geospatial analysis applied to the environmental and climate sector. He has a B.Sc in Agricultural Engineering (Crop production) and currently pursuing his master studies in Climate Change at the Pan African University in Algeria. In parallel, he supports Congo Initiative, an organization based in his home country (The D.R. Congo) where he works as a GIS and Remote Sensing Expert, providing valuable insights and contributing to the development of a provincial land use plan, and a land use strategy as well.
Through his publications and research projects, Mr. BISHIKWABO also provides scientific evidences about risks, vulnerability and population exposure to natural hazards and climate related disasters in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He actively uses his GIS skills to help decision makers, policy makers and communities at enhancing resilience and disaster preparedness; and promote sustainable environmental management as well.
