Bilhah Mukono
Bilhah Mukono, a proactive community development professional who believes in, and advocates for community led approaches as a pre-requisite to sustainable and scalable development. She has a B.A degree in Community Development from Daystar University, as well as training in Climate Governance, Diplomacy and Negotiations Leadership Program conducted by The African Group of Negotiators Experts Support( Agnes)
She had worked and volunteered in various projects in hardship counties of Samburu and Mandera in Kenya. Despite the harsh conditions and limited resources, she drove satisfaction in building resilient communities that support each other, bond together in hard times and grow to a better empowered society.
With her new acquired knowledge in the Climate Change, she is looking forward to working with communities in creating sustainability around adaptation and mitigation. She is also keen on having students get introduced , included and involved in matters climates change. She believes that this will influence them from an early age in being deliberate on the care of the environment and as they take up the guardianship mantle to care and sustain the environment, they will do so from a point of knowledge and ownership.
