Balkissa Daoura
For Balkissa, climate justice started as an interest, turning into a passion as her experience and knowledge grew. Her volunteer work on various environmental projects has given her insight into the environmental justice issues that our African communities face on a daily basis. Today, climate justice is close to her heart. She studied environmental engineering and climate change politics to be part of the process and become an active participant in “changing narratives”.
The most valuable experience of his ten years of volunteering and working with various non-governmental organizations and civil society organizations in Niger and Senegal has been coordinating the climate action team through various climate change campaigns, environmental education in primary schools and strengthening women’s voices.
She is now an Ambassador for the Environmental and Climate Conservation Initiative Network and she is hosting a podcast ‘’Kandili’’ in french language where she introduces and highlights change makers in the environmental and climate sector.
