Assan Ng’ombe is a Resilience and Climate Change Specialist. He is an international development expert with over 25 years of professional experience and specialization in climate change, poverty reduction, livelihoods development, and environmental management in Africa. He has serval positions of responsibility in the United Nations, Non-Governmental Organisations and the private sector. Of note has been his work as both the technical lead and thought leader on the integration of resilience building principles, actions and innovations in the agriculture and food systems transformation agenda Africa. His key expertise and achievements span many thematic areas including protected areas management, environment and social safeguards, policy and institutional development, and climate governance and policy. He is passionate about learning and sharing knowledge on Africa’s development experiences. In his spare time Assan is an ardent hiker and shows interest in multiple indoor and outdoor sports disciplines.
