Anne Mpaayei
Anne Mpaayei is an accomplished Environmental Policy and Sustainability Expert with over six years of hands-on experience in environmental conservation, landscape restoration, and community engagement. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Planning and Management from Kenyatta University and a Master’s degree in Global Environmental Policy and Sustainability from the University of Seoul.
Currently, Anne is working with the Kenya Water Towers Agency, where she oversees the implementation of programs and policies related to the preservation, rehabilitation, and conservation of critical water catchment ecosystems and biodiversity hotspots. In this role, she coordinates stakeholder engagement and environmental education initiatives, driving the agency’s mission to promote sustainable environmental practices.
A dedicated climate change advocate, Anne has trained and engaged various communities on climate variability and its impact on livelihoods, particularly in pastoral regions like Narok County. She is also passionate about urban green spaces, spearheading research and policy discussions on sustainable city landscapes.
