Anne Monyenye Omwoyo
Anne Monyenye Omwoyo is an accomplished, result-oriented, forward-thinking, and passionate Climate Change and Environmental Management Scientist. She possesses 10+ years of established experience in managing and coordinating environmental conservation and climate change mitigation programs, overseeing compliance with environmental policies and implementation of climate change programs. She currently is the Director in charge of climate change unit in the County Government of Kisii, Kenya. She is proficient in; climate risk assessment, climate modelling, IPCC greenhouse gas inventory, UNFCCC reporting, scientific research, project planning and management, reports preparation, environmental impact assessment, environmental audit, capacity building and awareness creation. She holds a Master of Science degree in Climate Change, Bachelor of Environmental Science (Hydrology), certifications in environmental impact assessment, project planning, leadership and management. Currently, she is pursuing Doctor of Philosophy degree in Dryland Resource Management from the University of Nairobi. She seeks to utilize her skills, expertise and experience to advance her career in a professionally rewarding climate change/environmental management role, within a fast-paced and exciting work environment.
