Ms Anna Maria Simon Malya is a perceptive Environmental Management Professional with hands – on experience in Environment management, community engagement, sustainable development and advocacy. She/He has a B.Sc. in Environmental Science and Management, and M.Sc. in Environmental Science, In Sokoine University of Agriculture and Wageningen University and Research Centre respectively.

She is currently managing environmental and social aspects at Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC). She works with clients and communities in the oil and gas sector to contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments, Sustainability and Social development, Climate Change resilience, Land Acquisition, Resettlement and Livelihood restoration.  She has wide experience in management of health, safety and environment for oil and gas projects in Tanzania. She has been a member of Government Project Implementation Team (PIU) of the two oil and gas infrastructure projects ie Natural Gas Transmission from Mtwara to Dar es Salaam and East African Crude Oil Pipeline in Tanzania
