Andrew Y.Y. Zelemen
Andrew Y.Y. Zelemen has served as the Head of the Secretariat and National Facilitator and Program Manager for the National Union of Community Forestry Development Committees (NUCFDCs) since 2016. Over his eight years with the NUCFDCs, Zelemen has played a pivotal role in overseeing operations and strategic planning, establishing the organization as a key player in Liberia’s forestry and land sectors. He has developed several impactful projects and led management teams that have significantly improved the lives rural communities.
Zelemen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in General Agriculture from the College of Agriculture and Sustainable Development (CASD) and an advanced Certificate in Peace and Conflict Resolution from the College of Peace, both at Cuttington University. Additionally, he has earned several professional certificates in short courses covering Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Global Biodiversity Conservation Framework, Project and Financial Management, Climate Change, and Carbon Market/Offsetting.
A passionate advocate for land, forest and biodiversity conservation, Zelemen is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of land and forest-dependent communities.
