Agnes Lydia Oloo
Agnes Lydia Oloo is a Female Multimedia Journalist from Nairobi Kenya.
She holds Diplomas in TV/Film Production and Broadcast Journalism. She also holds Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication (Development Communication Specialty) from the University of Nairobi, Kenya.
Agnes Currently works at Royal Media Services (Citizen TV) in Nairobi, Kenya.
She is a professional videographer and a professional Environment, Conservation and climate change Features Reporter at Citizen Television Kenya. Depending on circumstances she does videography and sometimes doubles up as a reporter, or just a reporter, this means that Agnes captures videos to tell stories and at times tell stories with the videos she captures.
Agnes is a multimedia Journalist who is an Environment and Climate Change enthusiast and a supporter of Human Rights.
In the course of her work, lives have been changed positively as a result receiving recognition by the Media council of Kenya. In the past, jointly with another she has been crowned as an African Continent Climate Change Best Reporter. In June 2022 in Kigali Rwanda, Agnes was feted as the overall winner of 2022 African Climate Change, Environment Reporting (ACCER) Award.
Agnes Enjoys traversing Africa and the world at large. Recently she was among the top Kenyan journalists covering Africa Climate Week in Libreville, Gabon in September 2022 and later in person covered the Climate Change COP 27 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt in November 2022.In February 2023, Agnes was nominated by African Water and Sanitation Association (AfWASA) to represent Kenyan Journalists, where she covered the 21st Congress on Water and Sanitation and the 7th Fecal Sludge Management Conference. Agnes prides herself in covering international Environmental, Conservation and climate change events like UNEA, Climate Change Conference of Parties among others.
Agnes Oloo is also an online Author for Citizen Digital App, which serves well the online readers with impactful stories. Her personal interest is to see Lives changed positively, Environment conserved and well managed.
