Aden Osman Qaloshe
Aden Osman Qaloshe is described as an accomplished professional with a diverse background in project management and operations. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Peace and Governance from the UN University for Peace, as well as a master’s in environmental management and Sustainability, where he developed expertise in conflict resolution and peacebuilding. His commitment to addressing environmental challenges is further highlighted by his advanced studies in environmental management.
With over 18 years of experience in operations and management roles, Aden has held several prominent positions. Notably, he served as the Deputy Commissioner of the Civil Service Commission, where he played a crucial role in managing human resources and ensuring efficient administrative processes within the organization. As the Program Coordinator at the Refugee and IDPs Affairs Commission, he contributed to the development and implementation of programs aimed at supporting refugees and internally displaced persons, focusing on their needs and promoting their well-being.
Aden’s expertise also extends to the field of rule of law, having worked as a Technical Advisor in the Justice Joint Program. In this capacity, he provided guidance and support to strengthen legal systems, promote access to justice, and enhance the rule of law in the program area.
Currently, he is employed with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as a Capacity Development Expert in the resilience and climate change portfolio. This role underscores his dedication to addressing environmental challenges, particularly in the context of building resilience and mitigating the impacts of climate change.
With his extensive education and professional experience, Aden brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to his roles. His expertise in project management, operations, peacebuilding, governance, and environmental management positions him as a valuable asset in tackling complex challenges related to resilience, climate change, and sustainable development.
