Abraham Kidane
Abraham Kidane is an assistant professor with over a decade of experience in academia, excelling as a researcher, educator, and trainer in the field of Tourism and Hospitality management. He is currently studying his PhD in Environment and Development at Addis Ababa University. In his academic tenure, he has taken part as a principal and co-researcher in numerous studies conducted in both English and vernacular language, resulting in the publication of two articles in open-access academic journals. Abraham’s expertise encompasses social and environmental studies, community development, livelihood strategies, and ecotourism development. Since 2021, he has worked as a researcher at Unique Environment and Social Consultancy Plc, where he has prepared various reports including social compliance and social completion audits. Abraham possesses a strong command of data analysis tools, including Excel, Stata, and SPSS, which he applies effectively in his research. He has also had hands on experience in some econometrics models. He has also amassed leadership skills during his four-year tenure as the department head at the College of Business and Economics in Debre Brehan University. His credentials are further enhanced by certifications in tourism and ecotourism training from India and Thailand, as well as comprehensive training in Development Projects, Planning, Management, Grant Writing, Data Analytics, and Project Management. Besides, he has attended and certificated on Climate Governance, Diplomacy, and Negotiations Leadership offered by AGNES.
