Research Associate – Climate and AI
Grace is a dedicated researcher and innovator with a background in software engineering, specializing in the intersection of climate resilience and artificial intelligence. Her expertise includes developing data-driven tools for climate action, leveraging technology to address climate challenges, and fostering sustainable development in Africa. At AGNES, she advances Africa’s position in global climate negotiations by supporting innovative solutions and building digital tools to drive the organization’s work.
She has served as a co-designer at the Center for Social Action, The Diana Award, where she utilized her software engineering skills to design mentorship and leadership development tools. As a researcher at the Africa Centre for Energy Policy (ACEP) in Accra, Ghana, she authored impactful policy papers and organized forums on energy transitions in Africa. As a Council Member of The Possibilists, she advocated for youth-led solutions addressing global challenges and amplified the voices of changemakers.
Grace holds a BSc in Software Engineering (First Class Honors) from the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton. She is an ALX Certified Data Scientist, HUAWEI Certified HCIA—Search and AI, and a member of both the Children and Youth Major Group to UNEP and the Computer Society of Kenya.
In her endeavors, Grace enjoys podcasting and blogging on youth contributions to global development, writing about technology for good, and exploring the intersection of AI and environmental sustainability. She is passionate about gender equality and preserving Indigenous knowledge.
