SUMMARY:Government of Kenya: Second Order Draft Review Workshop for the IPCC Special Report on Climate Change and Cities
DESCRIPTION: \n\n \n\nThe Kenya Meteorological Services Authority (KMSA)\, with support from the African Group of Negotiators Experts Support (AGNES)\, will convene an in-person Government Review Workshop on the Second Order Draft of the IPCC Special Report on Climate Change and Cities from 30 June to 2 July 2026 in Nairobi. This workshop builds on an earlier virtual engagement with experts\, policymakers and practitioners at national\, subnational and local levels. The virtual session introduced to the experts the Special Report\, its chapters\, the review requirements and the process for submitting comments. The in-person session will provide a further opportunity to deepen technical feedback\, consolidate inputs and align comments ahead of the submission deadline.

The workshop will convene government institutions\, private sector actors\, innovators\, development partners\, civil society\, women-led initiatives and research institutions to identify practical pathways for strengthening e-Cooking policy integration\, investment readiness and implementation in Nigeria. \nThe event will take place on 2 July 2026 in Abuja\, Nigeria.
