The Data Validation Workshop on the Granular Gender and Climate Change Vulnerability Hotspot Mapping for Decision Support in Ghana, scheduled for February 19-21, 2025, in Sogakope, aims to enhance climate resilience by validating and analyzing data on gender-specific vulnerabilities in agriculture, water, and energy sectors. Organized by the Government of Ghana in collaboration with IWMI and AGNES, this workshop follows an initial national workshop held in Accra and seeks to refine collected data, strengthen technical capacity, and develop strategies for filling data gaps. With climate change disproportionately impacting women due to structural inequalities, this initiative aligns with Ghana’s commitment to gender-responsive climate policies. The event will bring together members of Ghana’s national technical working group, fostering informed decision-making and unlocking targeted climate finance opportunities.
